What is the Biblical Understanding of the Creation?
The creation was the act of an omnipotent God, speaking into existence, from no previous materials, the entire Universe and everything within it. This concept is unique to Judeo-Christian theology. 

The doctrine of fiat creation is affirmed in both Testaments (Gen. 1:1-2:25; Psa. 33:9; Jn. 1:1-3; Rom. 1:20; Heb. 11:3), to mention but a fraction of the references. 

The biblical doctrine of creation is foundational to the balance of the Bible. The creation account and the immediate events that followed undergird: 
  • The affirmation of man's dignity. God made him in His own image. 
  • The responsibility of humanity (those created) to the Creator (cf. Rom. 9:21). Man must obey his God. 
  • The home's foundation is the exclusive male-female relationship that constitutes marriage and the one-man-for-one-woman arrangement. 
  • The creation account reveals the origin and consequences of human sin. 
  • Through the creation account, we discover the first glimpse of Heaven's plan of redemption (Gen. 3:15).
Wicked men concocted the theory of evolution, with the desire to be free of divine restraint. This theory proposes a false explanation for human existence. Darwinism is a baseless ideology, supported by neither Scripture nor science.
