JUDGES, BOOK OF

The book of Judges recounts the administrations of fifteen national leaders (judges, deliverers) during the era when the land of Canaan was being settled by the Hebrew people. It spans more than three hundred years, from the death of Joshua to that of Samson. The book reveals the cycles of apostasy, punishment, and deliverance through which the nation passed during this troubling period in its history.
