TIMOTHY 2, BOOK OF

This is Paul's last letter before his execution. It was written during his final Roman imprisonment. The epistle summons Timothy to Paul's side. It is intended to help Timothy understand the events unfolding in the imperial city. It contains the apostle's touching farewell charge to his young companion in the gospel. He urges Timothy to be a good soldier for the Lord. The epistle also warns of the continuing rise of false teachers who would attempt to corrupt the faith of many.
